Methanol hybrid Geely Emgrand new car application drawing released

Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China released the latest batch of declared vehicles, and the Geely Emgrand methanol hybrid model was among them.

The information shows that the vehicle is 4638 mm long, 2650 mm wheelbase, and has a curb weight of 1420 kg. The tire specifications of the new car are 205/55 R16 and 205/50 R17, and it uses a methanol/electric hybrid device.

The vehicle will be equipped with a 1799 cc engine code-named JLC-4M18H, with a power of 97 kilowatts and a maximum net power of 95 kilowatts. The energy storage device of this model is a ternary lithium battery, and there is no external charging.

Previous public information shows that Geely has been deeply involved in methanol fuel vehicles for 16 years and has developed nearly 20 models. In the pilot projects of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, methanol vehicles accounted for nearly 90% of the total number of pilot projects. So far, 27,000 Geely methanol passenger cars have been put into operation on a large scale.
