New BMW M5 teaser image released, expected to debut in July

Recently, BMW officially released a preview image of the new BMW M5 model, which is expected to be launched in July. As a high-performance version of the BMW 5 Series, the new car will be equipped with a plug-in hybrid system composed of the same 4.4T twin-turbocharged V8 engine and electric motor as the XM. The maximum power is expected to exceed 700 horsepower. In addition to the sedan version, this generation M5 will also launch a travel version, which is expected to be released before the end of 2024.

According to the latest trailer, the new car will also be equipped with an illuminated front grille frame design, and the headlights on both sides will be equipped with vertically parallel double-stripe LED daytime running lights. The front face of the new car is expected to adopt a more radical styling design, bringing a strong visual impact.

According to previous news, the body dimensions of the sedan version are 5096/1970mm respectively, the wheelbase will exceed 2995mm, and the weight will be as high as 2435kg. The new car will also be equipped with tire specifications of 285/40 R20 at the front and 295/35 R21 at the rear, and can be equipped with a carbon ceramic brake system.

It will be powered by the same 4.4T twin-turbocharged V8 engine asBMW XM, and will be paired with an electric motor to form a plug-in hybrid system. The comprehensive system power is expected to reach 728 horsepower, the maximum torque will exceed 1,000 N·m, and the battery pack capacity is 18.6kWh. The transmission system is matched with an 8-speed manual transmission and an M xDrive four-wheel drive system.
