At the 2024 Beijing Auto Show, FAW-Volkswagen’s new Magotan officially made its debut. The new car adopts a brand-new appearance design, and will provide two power options of 1.5T four-cylinder and 2.0T for consumers to choose from.

In terms of appearance, the new car adopts a new family-style design style, changing the traditional and conservative design style of Volkswagen in the past. The narrow-striped front grille is connected to the headlights on both sides, and is equipped with a through-type chrome trim strip in the center, making the front of the car look wider and more majestic. The Volkswagen brand LOGO in the center can be lit, and there are penetrating light strips on both sides, which greatly enhances the sense of technology. The lower part of the front of the car is equipped with chrome trim strips and air guide grooves to further enhance the sporty feel.

Looking from the side of the car body, the car has a waistline that runs from the front wheel eyebrows to the taillights. With the new style of two-color large-size wheels, the overall sense of movement is full. At the rear, the car uses through-type taillights, and the Volkswagen LOGO can also be lit. Together with the red reflective strips below, it greatly enhances the sense of hierarchy at the rear of the car. The changes in the interior of the new Magotan are even more significant. The new car adopts a 25-inch LCD instrument cluster, a 15-inch 2K large central control screen and an 11.6-inch passenger screen. The new car is equipped with a full LCD instrument, a large-size suspended central control screen and a passenger screen. There are three large screens for driving entertainment. The new car adopts a pocket design, leaving a larger storage space in the lower part of the center console. In addition, the new car will be significantly upgraded in terms of intelligence and will be equipped with DJI’s newly released intelligent driving solution. There is an independent air-conditioning control area in the rear row, and the legroom is acceptable.

In terms of power, according to previous declaration information, the new Magotan will provide consumers with a 1.5T four-cylinder engine and a 2.0T engine for consumers to choose from. The former has a maximum power of 118 kilowatts, and the latter has a maximum power of 162 kilowatts.
