Paris Motor Show 2024: Alfa Romeo Junior unveiled

At the 2024 Paris Auto Show, which opened today, Alfa Romeo Junior made its debut. Alfa Romeo Junior is a new small SUV based on Stellantis' e-CMP2 platform.

In terms of appearance, the new car provides two front grille shapes for different power systems. Among them, the inverted triangular grille in the middle of the front of the electric version is equipped with Alfa Romeo's three-dimensional car logo; the fuel version is equipped with a diamond-shaped mesh grille structure and is inlaid with Alfa Romeo's English logo. The headlights of the new car adopt a hook-style design, and are equipped with intermittent LED daytime running lights.

Looking from the side of the car body, there are not many changes in the shape of the fuel version and the pure electric version. The body waistline runs through to the rear of the car and adopts a lift-up style. The front and rear fenders combined with the thick wheel eyebrows create a wide body visual effects. In addition, the new car also adopts a hidden door handle design on the rear door, which combines the door handle with the C-pillar, and the Alfa Romeo LOGO is printed on the C-pillar panel. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4170/1780/1500mm respectively.

At the rear of the car, the new car is equipped with a roof spoiler and a rear window wiper. The taillight group is connected by a bright black decorative panel to form a through-type design. The interior of the taillight body on both sides adopts a three-stage light source design. It is highly recognizable after lighting up.

In the interior, the new car uses a 10.25-inch full LCD instrument panel and a 10.25-inch embedded central control multimedia touch screen, combined with a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel and a paddle-type electronic shifting mechanism. Make the overall combination of the new car look more technological. In terms of intelligent driving, the new car will be equipped with L2 intelligent driving assistance system.

In terms of power, the entry-level model will be equipped with a 115-kilowatt front-mounted single motor and a 54kWh battery pack, with a cruising range of 410 kilometers under WLTP conditions. The plug-in hybrid version is equipped with a plug-in hybrid system composed of a 1.2T engine + electric motor, with a combined power of 121 kilowatts. The transmission system will be matched with a 6-speed dual-clutch gearbox and front-wheel drive, but an electric four-wheel drive system will be launched in the future.
